Due to the Covid-19 crisis, I suddenly had a lot of free time to spend. And what is a better way to spend that extra time? Yes! Complete some projects that lay on the shelves for quite some time now.
On the pictures below you see an old Sailor rig that I want to use to put a Bitx 20 in. I installed a Arduino Uno and a AD9850 40MHz DDS signal generator. I also installed a AGC on the baseplate of the housing. In the front a 2x16 lines LCD, a potentiometer for Volume and a Rotary Encoder for the Arduino based VFO frequency dial. There is also a on/off switch and a microphone plug.

At the other side of the housing there is room for the Bitx20 Linear and the converter to convert the 12V from the supply to the 5V for the Arduino. There is also room for the Power Distribution Board and a fuse to protect the Bitx20 from short circuit. In the next coming days / weeks / months, I will post the further steps of the build. I will also post a good tutorial for programming and connecting the Arduino, so that any Newbie can do this themselves.
